About this class this quarter

     What I liked about this class what that we were kinda free on what to do. The teacher didn't have to walk around and tell us what to do next on the project. I also liked how we did the timed typing tests and how we put the scores on our spreadsheet. The only things I didn't like were the quizzes on Fridays and the vocabulary. I know we kinda had to do them for practice but it wasn't very fun. They were meant for practice and for us to good on our actual tests. I hope with us taking those tests and doing the vocabulary we get more knowledge of how to do work a computer. Picture from here

Volleyball

Last night I had volleyball practice right after I had to cheer at a basketball game. I was a little late to practice but my coaches understood. We worked on our serving, defense, and offense. We really need to work on our defense because we are really struggling with it. Next Wednesday we are going to scrimmage against another team called the St. Louis Elite. I have never heard of that team before, but I hope they are decent. I hope this scrimmage is going to be fun. Picture from here

     Today is the pep assembly for basketball season. I cheer for the school and so I have to cheer at the assembly. We are performing a dance, boy and girl dance, stunts, and just cheering. Tonight we also have a basketball game to cheer at. It is suppose to snow tonight so the basketball game might get cancelled. I hope it doesn't because it is the first game we get to cheer at for basketball. I am excited for both the assembly  and the basketball game but also nervous. I didn't cheer for football season so I'm scared that i might mess up.

         If i found myself in front of seven doors I would go through the Wonderland door. I have never been to Wonderland and I really want to go there. Wonderland seems like a very cool place and I have only heard about it a couple of times. I don't really know much about it but I want to go there just to see what is it like there. When I go through that door I find myself a little shocked of the door I picked. I see that it is not what I expected it to be. It is much more beautiful than I thought. I then see that I am stuck there forever.

      If I had to put a memory in a bottle and open it every once in a while, it would have to be the memory of when my little brother was born. It was March 6, 2005. I was five years old and I remember staying in the waiting room with my grandma and grandpa. My aunt and uncle were on their way to Disney World when my mom was about rushed to the hospital. My brother was born that night and it was also my cousin, Dalton's birthday. When I saw my brother I was very excited and happy, But I was afraid to hold him. I was afraid that my mom and dad would forget about me and give all their attention to the baby.

Volleyball practice

Last night was my first volleyball practice. I play on the St. Louis Powerhitters 13u. During our practice we worked on passions. I am a setter. Our practices run for 2 hours, 8:00pm-10:00pm. I don't like how our practices get over so late at night. I cant wait for more practices to come. I cant wait until the tournaments start also.

I love to play volleyball. I am on a select volleyball team called the St. Louis Powerhitters. I am the main setter and sometimes the back up hitter. We go to a lot of out of town tournaments. I can't wait until the new season.

I also do cheer. I cheer for basketball season in school. I wasn't cheering for football season because I was on the volleyball team. My first practice starts Monday. I can't wait.

The reason why I dislike computers is because some are slow. As you can tell I don't have paitence. I like computers because they give you more information than anything else does. Computers have a lot of cool things on them like games to play. For me, I have some good and bad reasons why I like/dislike computers.

OH MY GODS!!!!!!

I am so so excited!!!! The newest Percy Jackson book, House of Hades, came out two days ago!!  I have been waiting FOREVER  for this book to come out because Rick Riordan's last book was a cliffhanger that drove. me. nuts. I thought i would explode with fangirl energy. So Excited!!

Sherlock

Another thing I love that has caused me emotional damage is a British t.v. show called Sherlock. The star of the show is the great detective himself but set in present day. He is played by one of the greatest actors of all time, Benedict Cumberbatch. Benedict also plays Khan from Star trek and Smaug form The hobbit. His co-star, Martin Freeman, plays John Watson and is equally brilliant. He plays Bilbo with Benedict in the hobbit. This fandom is crazy because we have had to wait almost three years for our third season. Here's a picture. Fangirl out.

a friendly giant

The old woman slowly lowered the bucket from her perch on the stone ruins. The mixture inside bubbled and steamed. It was a special mixture used to alter the mind. The great beast lumbered up and slurped noisily. It immediately stood up on two legs, cleared its throat, and began to speak. " Well now. That was quite the trip, wasn't it? What do you require now good lady?" It had a very thick British accent. The lady stood up and clearly said," i need your healing fire. For my daughter." Behind her rested a beautiful maiden. She was very pale, and she got paler by the minute.  " Very well. Very well. You shall have it. You have already paid me." The Maiden was then lowered to the ground. The beast then leaned over her and, very gently, exhaled blue fire over her limp body. The flames licked over her. she immediately got up and shouted praise to the beast. the mother thanked him again and again. they wondered away into the night.

Seven Doors

The Voice boomed from above," Before you lays seven doors. Each one to a different place. One to Wonderland, Another to Neverland, Another to Narnia, Another to Camelot, Another to Middle Earth, One to Westeros, and finally, Hogwarts. Which do you choose?" It took me about half a second to decide. "Hogwarts! Will I be a Wizard?" I asked excitedly. "Of course." it said. "Last door on the right." I grinned. " Thank You!!" I yelled at the ceiling. I rushed to the door, pulled it open and stared at the amazing sight before me. The train was just pulling in. That beautiful scarlet steam engine. I started to cry with happiness. I turned just in time to see the door close on  a smiling old man. After I got everything sorted out with professor Dumbledore, I started my schooling. i am now a fourth year, and Luna Lovegood is Lovegood my best friend. I dont regret a thing.

Harry Potter.

Okay, so anybody who's seen and/or read Harry Potter knows that it is probably one of the greatest series ever written. If you're on Pintrest, Tumblr, etc. you know that Rowling is our Queen. I will always miss Harry Potter. But it has opened up so many other fandom oppurtunities. Watching

I awoke from my deep sleep in my comfortable chair. My dog, a usually calm Great Dane, was barking wildly. She wasn't stopping, so I stood up to see what had scared her. I stretched and stumbled to the door. I pulled her writhing body aside and held her by the collar. I peered through the door's window and see nothing. I keep looking and a horrible rotting face popped up with a loud cry!! I scream and stumble back. It runs away into the night. I don't sleep for a week in case it comes back. It never does. My bottle memory

The one memory that I would put in a bottle to relive would be the day I got my cat,Peanut. She was a fluffy gray kitten that we got from the pound. I was very young, probably only in kindergarten. My mother and I  went there after school. We walked inside and the man put her and her brother on the floor in front of me. The differences in the two pictures are immense. After just eight years, the technology has evolved so much. In the 2005 photo, no one is using a cellphone or recording device. In the 2013 photo, almost every single person is using an iPhone and one is even using an iPad. I think this is a very significant change in  the way our world works. It means that the world is getting faster and younger. People now experience big events differently. They can experience them more than once. I think this is a good change because then people can hold on to memorable moments and give them to those who couldn't attend.

What to do?

One day about ten years after i had left seventh grade, I went to collect the post from my mailbox. from inside, i retrieved a strange letter. It was from my very good friend Jessica Ginger. I was quite delighted to finally receive a letter from Jessica. However, a closer inspection of the letter revealed that it was from a maximum security prison. I was quite shocked. As Jess had never so much as disobeyed a teacher in her entire life! I quickly ripped open the letter and unfolded it. It read,

Dear Audrey,


I  know I've caused you much grief. But there's something i need that only you can get for me. Don't tell anyone about this. The reason I am in prison is because I am accused of a crime I did not commit. i am accused of murdering my husband. Please bring me twenty  pounds of dynamite concealed in a mattress. please. I need you.

Technology Class!!!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Aracely Rios and i have enjoyed this class alot!!!!! even though sometimes I did not follow directions and did things wrong I think that this class was really fun. I loved the typing web because even though Im really slow, I love to type, oh and i also like tacos. I also enjoyed making powerpoints, they are so fun to make!!!!!! I dont think theres a thing that i did not like  in this class this year. I also liked the quizes that we took because they were so easy. You were a great teacher and ireally enjoyed being your student this year. Thank you for teaching us all about technology!!!!!!

My Best Friends

Hello, my name is Aracely Rios. My best friends are sydney Nahlik, stella Anderson, Karlie Kremer, Alicia Sutton, Veronica oshia, Collin Mann,  Chance Gotch. They are so great and super nice. They are fun to be around. My unconditional bestfriend is Sydney nahlik. We are so similar, like our favorite food is chocolate, we both like spors, we both like Taylor Swift music and we have never ever faught about anything. Wich surprises me because i fight with everyone about everything. We both did gbasketball and track together and we had so much fun. In basketball one day we were at grandview and we were getting food and we both almost tripped down the risers, we have so much fun.

Rewinding My Life

If I was to choose to pause or rewind my life, I would choose to rewind my life. I miss living in Mexico with all my family. Getting to see my grandma and grandpa almost everyday. I only see them once or twice a year now. I wish that I could go back to those days were we were all really happy and would not have to cry when we left. I would not want to move from festus though, i already got another family right here. My bestfriends are all my family and i could not imagine life without them and i would not want to move back to mexico, ijust want to go back to those happy memories. if I left festus it would be the same pain that i faced when I left all my family in Mexico.

The Curse....................

Cesar carefully opened the creepy yet heavy pirate treasure chest. Then a mortifying voice told Cesar his horrible and tragedous fortune. He would suffer for 59 days with a mass of horrendous happennings. Then ........... he would die!!!!!!!!!!! He then didnt think that all the fortune in that treasure chest was worth it so he put it all back in hope that hjs terrible fortune would then disappear, but it did not............ yet, he survived all the horrible happenings with his amazing faith and strength to survive. He never opened a treasure chest ever again.I hope that this tought you a lesson because if you open a treasure chest.............  youd better watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going To Wonderland!!!!!!!!!!;)

I would go to Wonderland because i get to meet the fat catterpillar with the pipe! He is my favorite little guy of all time, well, maybe next to that creepy striped cat. I also get to eat peculiar candy that makes me either grow or shrink and then when i shrink i get to see the annoying flowers that i hate so much. and when i grow i will be wearing a house and i will look funny. The old rabbit with the watch is really irritating, he is so worried about the time but is wasting it when he talks about it. I would see so many magical things that i would think its a dream. Lets not forget about the mad hatter! !!!!!!

My favorite Sport

My favorite sport is basketball. Basketball is my passion even though im not the best. i could play basketball all day if I wanted to. Basketball brings back alot of good memories like meeting my bestfriend Sydney. We were always partners and after a game we would like to go buy conccesions and we would walk in front of people like we were on a runway. We would also share snacks and drinks while watching the game. basketball tought me alot of things and im thankful to be able to expirience such an amazing sport.

Food!!!!!:)

food is amazing!!!!!! I love all kinds of food but I prefer mexican. I love to eat tacos the best because they are like heaven in a shell!!!!:) I also love to eat french fries and corn dogs. They are a great combination at lunch!!!!! My favorite dessert is chocolate icecram well because it is cold, chocolatey, have i told you that i am a chocoholic????? well i am in the morning i put chocolate on my cereal instead of milk!!!!! and well at lunch i am not aloud to eat chocolate so i put about one fourth of a cup of sugar on my sweet tea!!! It is delicious, well to me at least!!!!:)

Size does not matter!!!!!!!:)

The picture makes me think of size. Size does not matter to me. You could be 8 feet tall or 6inches i would not care. I look inside of people. What makes up their inner beauty. Anyone that wants to can be my friend and i would not care if you change. We are all special in different way and people sometimes judge people by the way they look and not by who they really are. We all deserve to be happy even though we all look different. Size should not matter to anyone. Well at least I know that it does not bother me:)

Hello my name is Aracely Rios. I am explosive and I love to make people smile but sometimes I make people mad instead, like yesturday I got in trouble at PSR because I could not stop laughing for some unknown reason. Well, yeah my favorite food is red, my favorite subject is art and social studies. I am sick at drawing and I play the troombone, and I am learning to play the keyboard, guitar, and the drums. I love to eat tacos because they are so freakin delicious!!!!! I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My most important bff is Sydney Nahlik. And I love to play basketball.

 The memory that I would bottle up would be the one of basketball. Basketball was the greatest expirience this whole year!!!!!Our team was close and actually that is when me and Sydney became best friends. Basketball is undescribable. We had great times and then we had times where we were mad at everyone. At games, me and sydney were always by eachother, when she would get mad I would calm her down and then we would just joke around.I would open up this memory evryday because I love it so much because I built great friendships from it and I am really greatful to had accountered that amazing time!!!!!:)

I am going to talk about my best friends. Well, my best friends are great!!!!! They are Sydney nahlik, Stella Anderson, Alicia Sutton, Chloe Martin Etc. They are amazing in so many ways and really funny too but not as funny as me! Sydney is trully ny greatest bestfriend and we have alot in common like we both like chocolate cake, ducks, basketball, track, and she gets me so well. She is an extraordinary person who loves to build up her vocabulary and uses alot of intelligent words. We are all weird and that is what I like because it makes it explosive.

Change Throughout the Years

I think that the difference in these pictures are the amount of people and also the technology that was being used during the time. In 2005 there were not as much people as in 2013. It seemed that not  a lot of people had cameras nor other technological things to use to capture pictures. In 2013, there were about three times the population and alot of people were using ipads and camearas to capture photos. I think that this is a good change because technology helps us through out life like the camera helps capture important moments through out our lives.

I am kind of weird once you get to know me. I am explosive and hyper outside of shool, yet when I'm in class I try not to be because I like school and I really do not want to get in trouble.I still am hyper sometimes and the teachers do not like it, you can ask Mrs. Krieger, I really got into her nerves. Something else that I think is great about me is that I am Mexican. I moved here from Mexico when I was about to turn 8.

Now, here is some general facts about my explosive me. My favorite colors are orange, green, and red. My favorite food are tacos with lots of cheese. My favorite snack are T.G.I Friday's bacon and cheese potato skins. My favorite dessert is chocolate cake. Oh, and my bffs are Sydney Nahlik, Chloe Martin, Veronica Oshia, and Stella Anderson.

My computer experiences are pretty good. I mean, I'm not like a computer wiz but I can get by with my assignments. I really like to type even though I am not that great at it, but i really want to get better because I think it is pretty fun. I prefer a desktop computer rathwer than a laptop because the keys feel better.

Last Day

I had fun in this class. I started typing faster every week. I liked making my brochure. It was my first brochure that I ever did. When we had to write compound/ complex sentences, I thought that it was easy, but very time consuming. I also learned how to create a background. I learned more than I thought that I was going to. I liked doing the timed typing tests because it helped me see how much progress that I made in my typing. My highest WPM was 36. I thought that the alphabet slides were really fun even though, I did not win. I learned a lot of new computer terms.Your class is really fun.

Boring Days

Lately there has been a lot of boring days. I go to school, do my homework, and go to sleep. Sometimes I have practice with my volleyball or softball team. Tonight I have volleyball practice. Our season is almost over. My softball team just started playing in tournaments. My school days have not been fun either. We have finals this week. I'm really worried about my math final because math is a hard subject. I have a good grade in that class, but I might do bad on the final. My other classes have been boring to. I hope that my week gets more fun.
