This Quarter in computers!!

This quarter was an acceptionally helpful class. Although I was not a fan of typing web, the slide shows we made were fun, and gave me alot of information about computers, what they do, and how they do it. I have also learned about blogger, and how to work it. I like that Mrs.Debolt doesn't expect everyone to have a flash drive, or have the best computer smarts. She just expects you to try your best and listen. I also agree, that people who have an attitude and are negative all the time just slow things down. I especially love the poster she has hanging up in the front of the classroom that reads:
Dear Students,
You are cared for. You are liked. You are listened to.You are treated with respect and dignity. You are important.
I enjoy working with you. I believe in you. You can do everything you set your mind to.
If at any time you feel this is not true, please come see me ASAP!
                                                     Your teacher,
                                                           Mrs. Debolt
In conclusion, I have liked this class, and the teacher, and can only hope she doesn't miss me too much! (I leave that kind of affect on people) LOL
Bye Mrs.Debolt and thank you for a wonderful quarter!!!

Why we ate hamburgers

For my first Thanksgiving as host, I brought the biggest turkey in the store. Alot of people came to help m e cook it; my mom, my Aunt, even my Uncles had flown in from Tennessee Point is, I am going to host the BEST Thanksgiving EVER. When people started to arrive I was getting worried. "What's wrong with the turkey?" I whispered hardly in an angry voice. "It doesn't seem to be cooking like a regular turkey. Are you sure this is it?" Replied my uncle. "Of course it's it!" I shot back at him. All of the sudden, I heard it. The annoying song of my Uncle Jo's hamburger truck. He was the odd one in our family, but he was one of those rare, lovable weirdos. The turkey absolutely was not working and the song, for once, actually gave me an IDEA. "Hey Uncle Jo! What do you think about cookin' us up some hamburgers?" He looked happy and eager. "No problem Haylee! I'll go start up the fryer!"

And that's why we all ate hamburgers.

Last night a group of robbers broke into my house. They took just about everything except one thing. The police don't think it means much, but I think it does. See, about a week ago my friend and I, Claire, got into a disagreement. She had always been a little controlling but I had a good handle on it. Anyway, she wanted to try for the lead in the school play, and I came to support her. I didn't think much of plays, I had never really done them before. I came and helped her read the script, and the director decided I would be best for the part. Of course I was happy I got it, but I was also sad that she didn't get it. She was very angry and stomped out of the theater. So what was that one thing left on the floor?

Bullies:(

Yesterday I went on a field trip to the St.Genevieve performing arts to see a play about bullying. In the play, two students, a boy and a girl, were being bullied. In the play they were both being led by a fairy god mother type character named Glenda who told them that intimidation would stop the bullying. We all know that that's not the real right way to do it. The boy being physically bullied, ended up resulting in a school shooting. The girl, who was being mentally bullied, ended up becoming just like the girls who were being bullies to her. People might think that it's just girl drama, and sometimes it is, but it REALLY hurts. The feeling of rejection, like no one wants you in certain group AKA 'clique.' Of course, my wonderful mother has guided me through these things, as well as some other wonderful friends in my life. But I know that feeling, and I don't want ANYONE to ever feel like that. Girls can truly be very, very mean, they can make you feel like next to nothing, but you just have to know that you are someone, and you are loved, and you are wanted! If this has happened or is happening to you a truly hope this helped and there is always someone to talk to.

Hush Little Girl

I walk out the door, only to come to seven more.
I find a little key, hidden in a drawer.
To find that it fits, every single door.

"Which way to go?" Asks a little crow.
"Well, I'm not sure." I tell the little bird.
Then wait here. he said as he flew by.
Then all the while, I hear a lullaby.

Hush little girl, it whispers in my ear.
the voice sound so sweet, but I remember: Wait Here.
Follow me to find the sweetest of lives, to eat only best food. Just open my door, Hush little girl.

I catch a sweet smell, and hold it in my nose.
It could only be the smell of a little white rose.
Finally I can't take it as I open up the door, to see a giant beast growling a loud ROAR.

And there the little crow sits, waiting on a stool.
Laughing as the monster, tears me slashing it's drool.

As per a few requests, I compiled a few fantasy prompts… but I also realize that these are probably insufficient for your fantasy-related-writing-prompt needs. So, I’d also like to point out fantasyscapes, which has some great potential for inspiring writing. I also think The Art of Animation might be worth your time. That has a great mix of science fiction and fantasy art, although sometimes it’s a bit NSFWish. If you have other good ideas, please let me know. Thanks.Picture From Here

Music is my Motive.

About a week ago, my mother went to Germany. While other kids may be use to this traveling, I am not and I miss her VERY much. Having a chance to sing, even for just an hour, everyday helps me get through situations like this and just have fun and do what I love.So I guess you could say music is my escape!:) On Tuesday December 4th, I had my first choir concert with Mr. Zustiak. On my left was my friend Eden, and then I believe to my right was Sierra, and Brennan Prior. I am a part 2 person, (I think we are called altos,) and I am very glad I get the opportunity to work with such wonderful people. The songs we sang were fairly hard, and I'm pretty sure I almost PASSED OUT. But that's okay. Before the concert, I couldn't find my tickets anywhere, so of course I was freaking out, crying throwing stuff... JUST KIDDING I don't throw stuff. Any who, I was most impressed with women's choir, (I thought they were even better than concert choir,) and surprised by the beautiful hollowness of their songs. I also thought they had the best behavior out of the groups. In conclusion I had a great time, and thank Mr. Zustiak for allowing me to do what I love an to escape.
